Humane Verities in Futuristic Revelations – by Joseph B. Majdalani (JBM)
ISBN 978-614-449-050-1
“The Esoteric Teaches a King” was released in its fourth edition, long awaited by readers of Esoteric Science. It is the seventeenth book in the Esoteric Science series by Dr. Joseph B. Majdalani (JBM). It spans 112 medium‑format pages and is issued by Friends of the White Knowledge Publications, Beirut, Lebanon.
The book speaks of the “Kingdom of Happiness“, an ideal realm from the distant human past, where the kings of ancient civilizations chose their advisors from among sages deeply versed in science and knowledge to assist in governing the affairs of the kingdom. “The Esoteric Science was regarded as a distinctive royal science, reserved for kings, nobles, and elites in ancient times. It encompassed creative and comprehensive ideas, visionary dimensions that clarified the logic of existence, and profound knowledge that spanned various aspects of life, offering practical, applicable methods beyond the reach of the general public.”
The book “The Esoteric Teaches a King” tells the story of an Eastern monarch who wished to educate his son – the heir to his throne and future ruler of the realm – according to Esoteric Science and its principles. His aim was for his son to continue the legacy of his ancestors, who had ruled before him, ensuring that the royal lineage maintained its tradition of just and noble governance. This path, grounded in true humanism, raised individuals to their fullest potential, allowing them to attain the heights of their humanity.
This king had a young son, remarkably handsome, yet of poor character and conduct. He was reckless and impulsive, never ceasing in his indulgence in frivolity, mischief, and debauchery. He had no understanding of responsibility, nor any sense of participation or cooperation.
Following the counsel of a wise advisor, the king sent his son to a royal academy in the far reaches of the kingdom, to receive specialized instruction from expert tutors in the upbringing of kings, princes, and nobles, preparing him to take the reins of rule.
Thus, the wise and accomplished master came to the royal academy and devoted his time and effort to educating and refining the wayward prince, to make of him a future king worthy of succeeding his father, ensuring the continuation of just and noble rule. Under this guidance, the prince would continue just and upright rule and care for his subjects, sustaining progress, prosperity, and democracy in his realm, the “Kingdom of Happiness.”
The young prince graduated from the royal academy a man worthy of ruling. He compiled the essence of the teachings and guidance he received from the wise master in a book he titled “When the Master Speaks.” “The Esoteric Teaches a King” presents excerpts from that work.
“The Esoteric Teaches a King” by Dr. Majdalani captivates with its flowing narrative, making you feel as if you are seated with the prince in the presence of the master. At times you may even feel that you are the prince, wholly attentive to the master’s words and guidance with both heart and mind. “For the wise master’s words are the echo of truth in the depths of every human being, the voice of conscience, the voice of the inner master abandoning its silence to speak!”
It is a valuable book, like all works of Esoteric Science, and may rightly be called exemplary in education. Every page is filled with knowledge and wisdom that benefit people in their family life, professional endeavors, and social interactions. The book presents insights on the human being and life, the relationship between parents and children, obedience and wisdom, conscious love, supreme understanding and happiness, independence and cooperation, giving and leadership, governance, justice, and responsibility, all the way to time, evolution, and human perfectness.
If one masters the application of these teachings, one crowns oneself king over one’s own small kingdom, transforming it into one’s “Kingdom of Happiness“. In the end, every person is a king in some realm of life and is destined to reach the crown lying dormant upon the head, the symbol of spiritual wisdom in the human being. This is achieved when one ascends the throne of self‑mastery and reaching the heights of wisdom, beginning with practical wisdom as the path to a happy life.
